Marty Cord Day Two it's been a big one

I didn't sleep well last night. Maybe because of the 200 odd fleas i pulled off luna after her bath. She was such a good girl just lay there and let me brush pick kill flea, brush pick kill flea, over and over.

6.30 thismorning i awoke to her muching on some dry food and took her outside for a wee. She still wasn't confident walking around the house so i carried her out and put her down on the grass. it was like she had never seen grass before. It was so…

Marty Cord A new Beginning

I got a phone call from my mum tonight who thought she had found the perfect puppy for me. I've been looking for about 6 weeks for a new pup and i was beginning to think i would never find one.

My uncle loaned me the cash and we went out to have a look at her. A 10 week old Alaskan Malamute pup and boy is she gourgous. Sable and white in colour and unfortunately this guy was a puppy farmer. The conditions his dogs were living in were discusting. There was a Brown…

Brianna Smale Barney's best friend

Often when describing Barney I use the saying he wouldn't heart a fly. I was thinking about this the other day and realized that it is in fact not true as Barney does catch flies and eat them. He never used to do this but copied it from our kitten Peppa. When we got Peppa I didn't no how Barney would react, as this was our first real pet other then Barney. We were not sure if he would like having a new member of the family or if he would be jealous. In the end they turned out to be best…

Hello

Brianna Smale A funny dog christmas poem

Christmas Dog

A poem by Shel Silverstein

Tonight's my first night as a watchdog,

And here it is Christmas Eve.

The children are sleeping all cozy upstairs,

While I'm guardin' the stockin's and tree.

What's that now---footsteps on the rooftop?

Could it be a cat or a mouse?

Who's this down the chimney?

A thief with a beard--- And a big sack for robbin' the…

Helen McCallum Great Christmas present

I Can See Dog Car Seats make great Christmas Presents. Each dog has its own personality and I try to reflect that by making the seats to order in your choice of colours, Mild to wild. I use beauitful fabrics and most of the seats are one off or limited editions so everyone gets something special. Get your dog travelling in comfort and style. Seat allows them to see out while being restrained. Suitable for small to medium dogs. Comes in two sizes: single and double.

Brianna Smale Barney' s training

Hi all
I am not sure if any body knows this but I have started training Barney. I am training him not to pick up things he finds on the ground when going on walks. My training is going great and I just got back from a huge walk and I am so proud of him. He did such a good job he didn't even pic up a apple, dirty tennis ball or the dead bird we saw.

Claire Lee fun at the park

Sasha played with a Old English Sheepdog(male) off leash at the  park, she had a blast and she out ran him and she also decided to take a dip into the pond =_=. Before that she chased a poodle, and it was trying to provoke Sasha but of course it didn't really like it after Sasha went after it.

Claire Lee 5th week of OBC for Sasha and other stuff

This time round I've decided not to drive to the park for the obedience class. I walked with Sasha from my house instead and my mum would pick up after the doggy class. It was a tiring day for both my pup and I. Today's class wasn't to bad, she did perform well in some areas especially the recall, from what I could see comparing with the other dogs in the class, Sasha did the recall pretty well. I only had to call her name once or twice to encourage her to come me. The rest had to call their… Continue

Diana Gleeson More about Twinklebee!

When I wrote to introduce Twinklebee I forgot to write some things about her but that's ok -hopefully there's plenty more time for that.  I left out some of the words she knows/tricks she can do but that's ok, and we are on a mission to keep learning!  She seems to really enjoy it- she'll wake up from her evening nap and ask to play- she's got a few different ways to ask, and she doesn't give up!  I like trying to keep her mind occupied and doing new things with her and it's usually a great…

Diana Gleeson Introducing Twinklebee!

Introducing Twinklebee!  Twinklebee has just turned four and is a maltese cross chihuahua.  She is my first dog and truly such an enormous blessing and lifeline.  She has earned herself the title of my 'rescue dog'. People will often say 'look after mummy', and she does, beautifully.  Some say she is spoilt but I say no, no way compared to what she does for me.  She is so affectionate, perceptive and intuitive and always responds to what she perceives in a compassionate and beautiful…

Brianna Smale My poem ( some of the poem does sound weird but I had to make sure is rhyme )

Barneys cute,

Barneys hot,

He is every thing I’m not.

I love it when he eats,

I love it when he snots,

I love it when he breathes,

I hope he never stops.

As long as where together,

I hope will never part,

But if he does remember,

he will always be in my hart.

Brianna Smale Barneys puppie habbits

Barney has a really cute habbit.

When he was a puppy with all of his other brothers and sisters in the liter, every time he was given a special treat he would always take it to the corner of the pen so that none of the other puppies could get to it. Now at nearly 7 years old Barney still does it. Every time we give him a sausage or a bone or any other treat he always still takes it over to the corner of the yard to eat it.

How cute.

Please comment if your dog does the…
